Vocal Manipulation: Taught by her mother, an Oracle from the Clouded Isle. Oracles are especially known for this over the standard blood magick and while her mother didn’t cast blood, she knew how to cast voice. In a voice, one’s life energy can easily be imbued with a simple change in tone; Fariah’s ability is most notable when her voice sounds musical. She has since learned to hide it behind actual songs, most taught by her mother, but she has been known to sneak it into folksongs as well. While she cannot control another person via her voice in the way most would assume it works, she can manipulate another person’s emotions to make them think they’ve come willfully to her point of view. This only works in full on those who are either weak of will or don’t resist to its pull. Any resistance lessens the chance that it will work on them; it is a sort of willing manipulation of another. |
Blood Magick: The most prominent form of manipulation in the empire, used by both the aristocracy and the poor. Blood magick runs everything in the empire and it is no different with the Imperial family. As it stands, those born to the Imperial bloodline are some of the more powerful, so long as the Imperial running the empire shows a strong bond and appropriate control over the Aeroglaive, considered the most powerful and most articulated weapon ever crafted in their society. Fariah is no different from her father in this respect. He taught her everything he knew on blood magick and as a result, crafted his little warlord-to-be to not only run their family’s legacy, but also express herself through that magick when necessary. A few lines drawn with her own blood can change her environment for the good or bad, and she has been trained to hide well the strain on her body it takes to control. She uses it well, but as all blood magick goes, she can only control whatever her blood activates. Anything not hers is hard to do and most of those who have tried ended up dead, something she would rather not do at this time. | Physical Combat: What proper warlord does not like to lead the charge… Magick is not always a reliable or proper response to aggression, something she was taught at the ripe young age of six when the lessons shifted slightly from basic tactics and stratagem to intermediate strategy designs and physical combat. Due to the nature of the magicks the empire is known for, a backup is always necessary to keep one defensive or appropriately aggressive, since the Aeroglaive is not always an option as a weapon. Fariah excelled in these lessons, graduating at the age of sixteen with honors in long, mid, and short-range combat training. She keeps it honed well, to make absolutely certain that her skills aren’t rusty for when she needs them. |
